Larry Sherman, a lonely middle-aged man, who can’t build up the nerve to talk to the woman upstairs, has volunteered to be sent to another dimension by a group of independent scientists. After the experiment fails, Larry retreats into a state of depression and fantasy until he gets a phone call saying it wasn’t a failure after all.
