Short films that sit close

Intimate is not the same as quiet. It is the feeling of being let inside, of watching something private that was never meant for a crowd. Within These Walls lets two musicians inch toward what they feel for each other, and These Matterless Things draws love out of the smallest everyday moments, almost too tender to name.

The closeness often arrives through grief and reckoning. Skin gives Tom Sturridge a man undone by loss, The Night We Called It A Day reunites two ex-lovers for one last gig and every wound that comes with it, and Smudged Smile sits with a cheerful teen whose smile hides depression. These are films to watch alone, late, with no subscription between you and them.
