Synopsis

Stray Dog is an intense street drama about Dante, an Italian Turkish man fighting to survive in a Swiss inner city hotspot, with his dog as his only anchor. Trapped between poverty, crime, and loneliness, he is lured into the drug scene.

Stray Dog is being developed into a feature length film. Their goal is to help establish socially conscious cinema in Swiss German, tackling current issues with moments of humour.


This short film was a winner at the 2025 Swiss Short Film Competition by Schweizer AG. Klipist founder Philip Andrew Trümpi served on the jury and the competition was proudly sponsored by Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Blackmagic Design, and EIZO.
