Fantasy short films build a whole world, then leave

World-building usually wants room to breathe, which is why a great fantasy short is such a sly trick. It conjures a complete set of rules, makes you believe them, and exits before the spell can wear thin. The short form turns that constraint into a feature. There is no time for exposition, so the strangeness simply has to be true from the first frame.

And the strangeness here runs deep. Man-tis! wakes a man up as a mantis on the morning of his job interview. Revenant Relocation Officers turns ghost removal around Edinburgh into a working day, and Pop Down sends an alien to keep a young woman company because it fancies a chat. The Red City forces a vampire back into the hunt when his blood supply runs dry, Other Half follows Ren's longing to find their other half and become whole, and Love Less Likely rounds up a cursed woman, a mouthy teen and a pile of dead guys.

Every one of these conjures somewhere new in minutes. Step through, free, from anywhere in the world.
