The World Beyond Me is about Sangam, a young woman trapped in the harsh realities of Kamathipura, Mumbai’s notorious red-light district. Forced into sex-debt bondage, Sangam navigates a life devoid of freedom, clinging to a distant dream of liberation and fleeting moments of hope. Sangam’s goal is simple yet impossible—to break free from the chains of exploitation and experience true freedom. However, her greatest obstacle is the relentless control of her pimp, who strips away her earnings and reminds her that freedom comes with a price she cannot afford.
