Revenge is a story that runs hot then cold, and a short film is the perfect length to hold a grudge from first spark to final move. The best ones know the satisfaction is never as clean as the plan. These films are hand-picked, complete, and free to watch. Scores being settled, one way or another.
Billie sits at a poker table where its lead quietly dreams of getting even, British Graffiti follows a graduate bullied by his supermarket coworkers as he plots his payback, and Flesh & Spirit spells out the fate awaiting those who steal from black artists. A Best Man watches everything go smoothly for the Best Man, until it doesn't.
The best short films about revenge let the wronged finally pick the moment. Debt Valley sets a rendezvous in the middle of the desert that can't be good news, and David French is a Piece of Shit and I Want Him Dead follows twins hatching an evil plan to spark new inspiration for their lead singer. Our editors picked them all, free in all 193 countries with nothing to subscribe to. Press play, and keep score.
