There’s no way back.
Sometimes a single choice is all it takes: a meeting with the boss in the middle of the desert, drugs thrown from a window, an offer of compromising material that could swing an election. Once it’s made, there’s no going back.
It opens with Billie, who takes a job at a private poker club to find the man she wants revenge on, and keeps that pressure: radicals who put a security agent on trial in near-future New York, a psychic called to a homicide scene, a student with an unusually deadly part-time job. It ends with Fugue, where a woman who once ran from a gangster has one night to help a stranger disappear.
Frequently asked
What makes a short thriller work?
A short thriller has no time to waste. It sets up one situation, raises the stakes quickly and lets the tension carry it to the end. Many of these films hinge on a single decision, which suits the short form well.
Are these films free to watch?
Yes. Every film in this collection plays in full on Klipist, with no subscription and no sign-up.
How long are they?
They run from a few minutes to under twenty-five minutes, and each one is a finished film rather than an extract from something longer.
