Fifteen films, four languages, one very small country.
Switzerland makes short films the way it makes most things: precisely, quietly, and with more going on under the surface than anyone admits. These competition winners run from one-minute punchlines to slow-burning portraits of work, migration and belonging.
The theme of the 2025 competition was Work in Switzerland. What unites them isn’t a style. It’s a stubborn attention to the particular. A plasterer from Afghanistan. A village railway station. An office worker who cannot stop. Small subjects, treated as if they mattered. Because they do.
